DURAN® Original GL laboratory bottles have become the gold standard of multifunctional laboratory bottles since their introduction in 1972. The bottles are moulded from high-purity, clear, USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, renowned for its excellent thermal performance, and high resistance to chemical attack. A combination of high-performance materials and robust ISO 4796-1 design provides a long working life. The bottles feature an easy-to-read graduated volume scale, and marking field in permanent white enamel. Permanent Retrace Code on each bottle for manufacturing lot traceability. DURAN® Original GL bottles are supplied complete with iconic blue polypropylene cap and drip-free pouring ring for use up to 140 °C. All components are fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C.

Abdominal vessels are called flasks in the laboratory and, in addition to beakers, are other universally applicable vessels. They are used e.g. for distillation or for heating liquids. Flasks are available in various designs: narrow and wide neck, with or without ground joint, as round or flat bottom flask. Depending on the application, the required flask with its specific components is selected.

Life can be tough for laboratory glassware such as beakers, flasks and cylinders. Rough handling and laboratory processes like automated washing can cause damage and breakages. The DURAN® SUPER DUTY products were specially developed to better cope with laboratory life. The DURAN® SUPER DUTY products are characterized by a higher mechanical strength achieved by reinforcing the rim. As a result of this modification, the impact strength is improved, and the risk of accidental breakage is significantly reduced. The DURAN® SUPER DUTY products increase the safety in the laboratory and help to minimize the risk of injury. The longer life expectancy of the SUPER DUTY products means that they are more economical to use over the long term.
