Beakers are cylindrical vessels with a straight side wall. Thanks to this shape, beakers are universally usable laboratory vessels and usually serve as collecting vessels and for preparing, mixing and heating solutions. Easy filling is possible via the large vessel opening. Beakers are available in various shapes and sizes: high and low, with or without spout, with or without scale.

DURAN® Bromobutyl Rubber Stopper, for GL 25 or GL 45 Laboratory bottles
- Bromobutyl rubber elastomer conforms with EP 3.2.9 Type I closure for chemical and penetration tests
- Gas tight seal provides a controlled environment inside the bottle
- Lot specific Certificate of Conformance (CoC) available
- A Type III Packaging Material DMF (#35811) for these products has been filed with the FDA
- Elastic material for effective sealing and reliable self-sealing after needle piercing (21-gauge “21G” or smaller)
- Multiple punctures providing easy access to the contents with a syringe
- Stopper shapes and material properties optimised to fit DURAN® GL 25 or GL 45 bottles
- Suitable for autoclaving / steam sterilising at 121 °C for 20 minutes
- Wide usable temperature range: -50 to +121 °C
